God’s Word is filled with promises of His protection for His beloved children. Psalm 91, for example, is a beautiful psalm of protection for every believer.

Whether it is protection from contagious illnesses, horrific accidents, or unexpected attacks, Psalm 91 gives us scripture after scripture assuring us that the Lord is watching over us to keep us and to deliver us from all kinds of evil— seen and unseen.

And when you know that every promise of protection is for you to enjoy, you can live life with confidence and hope, not paralyzed by fears of uncertainties, calamities, or bad news.

How can you walk in the Lord’s protection today?

One way is to take time to saturate your heart in the protection promises of Psalm 91, knowing that as a child of God, the finished work of our Lord Jesus has secured for you every promise of protection in this wonderful psalm.

As you let His Word take root in and guard your heart, His peace will anchor your heart and fear will lose its hold over you. This is one way you can live unafraid and bold in God’s love and promises for you and your loved ones!

Another way is to pray and speak the promises of Psalm 91 over yourself and your loved ones. When you do this, you’re telling the Lord that your trust and dependence is on Him to watch over you and your family and to keep you safe.

The Bible tells us that it is better to put our trust in the Lord than in the strongest and mightiest of men (see Ps. 118:8–9).

It also tells us that God gives grace—His undeserved favor, blessing, and protection—to the humble (see 1 Pet. 5:5)—to those who acknowledge their need of Him.

Today, we encourage you to use the following prayers to express your dependence on the Lord for His supernatural leading, right positioning, and protection. Make it a habit to look to Him and pray these prayers every day. And as you invite Him to lead, protect, and deliver you and your family, expect to see His peace and protection cover you and your household completely!

Prayer Of Protection Over You And Your Family

Abba Father, I declare that in all things, You are my strength and my shield. You alone are my family’s unshakable refuge and fortress. I thank You that we can trust You to protect us from all harm. Today, I believe that no evil will befall us and that no plague will come near our dwelling. I declare that as Your Word has promised, my family and I will be far from oppression and terror, for it will not come near us. Thank You that we can live life bold and unafraid, for we know You are lovingly and tirelessly watching over us. Because of what Your Son, Jesus, has done for us at the cross, my family and I are under an open heaven of favor, protection, and blessings today. Amen.

Abba Father, thank You that in Christ Jesus, we are blessed. Your Word says that He has redeemed us from every curse, which includes the curse of sickness and disease. Today, I ask and trust You to keep and protect every member of my household from viruses, pestilences, and plagues. I thank You that none of these things can prevail against us. I believe that regardless of what we see and hear about in the world, it is You who keep our bodies healthy, resilient, and full of divine life. Thank You, Father, that we can fully rest in Jesus’ perfect, finished work and in Your unfailing love for us today. Amen.

Prayer Of Protection From Accidents And Mishaps

Abba Father, thank You that as my family and I go about our daily lives, we can rest, assured of Your protection over our lives. We look to You to keep us safe from all kinds of accidents, mishaps, and events that may harm us. We ask you to put a hedge of protection around us and we thank You that You are constantly watching over us, placing us at the right place at the right time with the right people. I declare that even if a thousand fall at our side, and ten thousand at our right hand, we shall be protected from every evil. Truly, as Your Word declares, no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Thank You, Father, for going ahead of us today and keeping us safe and secure in your hands! Amen.
